A Sweet Stray Cat Named Georgie

A sweet stray cat, who staff named Georgie, came to the shelter as a stray and needed emergency medical care. On intake, all four of his legs were covered in old, severe wounds and infection. The cost so far for his treatment and care is $2,200.

Due to the severity of his wounds, Georgie spent 4 days in the ER getting his initial treatment. The wounds were extremely painful for Georgie, so sedation for the bandage changes was the most humane option for him. After intensive care at the ER and once he was stabilized, Georgie was taken into foster care where he spends his days healing, eating, chatting, and snuggling.

Georgie is currently fashioning a soft cone so he doesn't delay his healing, but that does not slow him down! He strolls around the house looking for treats and hugs.
