Noodle’s New Lease on Life

Noodle the cat.

Noodle arrived at Westfield Animal Control and Shelter in need of some serious help!  At only 4 months old, he was brought to the shelter as a stray by a kind man. Noodle’s back right leg was bent backwards and he could no longer use it! It was very alarming to the staff, but didn’t seem to bother him too much. It was an excess amount of useless weight for him to carry around, and it was getting feces on it when Noodle went to the bathroom, which can cause a cat great distress. When he was seen by the vet, the doctor recommended amputation. After the surgery healed, Noodle turned into an active, loving kitten and everyone at the shelter loved him. You would never know there was anything different about him. Animals have a remarkable way of recovering from difficult situations and moving on with life as if nothing happened.

With generous donations to Westfield Animal Shelter Heroes, Noodle had a successful surgery and recuperated in a foster home. He was adopted out to a woman in the community who loves him to pieces! You should see him romp around with a new lease on life!
